What is online therapy?

Online therapy is the delivery of mental health counseling via video. It is also called e-therapy, telehealth or distance therapy.

What type of device do I need to connect with you?

You can utilize your iPhone, laptop or Android phone to access the online platform and will need a private space for our appointment.

How do I know if you would be a good fit for me for therapy or Reiki?

What is Reiki?

Reiki is an ancient Japanese spiritual energy healing technique where the practitioner can channel energy into the patient to activate the natural healing of the patient’s body and restore physical and emotional well-being. Reiki is not affiliated with any particular religion or religious practice. 

Where do we meet?

I am an online only (telehealth) practitioner. I provide therapy and Reiki through a secure and HIPPA compliant video platform that is easy to use.

Does online therapy & distance reiki work?

Research has shown virtual therapeutic sessions are as effective as in-person counseling. You will be able to engage in a therapy and/or Reiki sessions in the privacy of your own home where you may feel more comfortable than going into an office setting. Having sessions in your home provides you more privacy and confidentiality.

What states do you offer services?

For Reiki, I can provide services to anyone in the United States.

For therapy services, I am a master’s level Licensed Clinical Social Worker and can help clients in California, Florida, Maryland, and Washington D.C.

How do I know if I need reiki or therapy?

Each person has unique and individual needs. Let’s chat to see if Reiki and/or therapy is right for you.

Do you accept insurance?

I am in-network with Optum, Aetna, and United Health Care Plans.

Please check with on your insurance website that I am in network with your plan.

I accept self-pay clients and can provide a super bill for services in order for you to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. I accept credit cards and HSA payments.

Will my sessions be confidential?

As a therapist, protecting your confidentiality is part of my responsibility. Everything you tell me will be confidential with the exception of if you are in immediate danger to yourself or others, disclosures of suspected child or elder abuse, and if I am subpoenaed in a court of law.

What if I have to cancel an appointment?

I do have a 24 hour cancellation policy as the appointment is reserved specifically for you. If you are unable to cancel within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment, there will be a charge for the session.
